South Leeds Archaeology was established by Paul Boothroyd with a core of members who had attended the same archaeology evening classes.
From the start Paul encouraged the group to engage in practical fieldwork and as a result a number of projects have been completed.
Following Paul’s untimely death in 2015, the society decided to continue and are planning to encourage members who either want to be involved in practical projects or are happy to come along to hear speakers talk on a range of topics.
